WE ARE ALL AMERICAN II.

Asian Americans have come a long way.

As an immigrant kid with an overwhelming desire to belong, I soaked up everything I could about my new country from the stories in tv and movies. One message became glaringly clear: All American boys and girls didn't look like me. This exclusion not only felt bad, it set unconscious limitations on what I could become.

I became obsessed with changing that narrative. This set me on a path to Stanford, where I studied psychology, and then to Los Angeles, the city built on story. As time passed, I watched in wonder as the stories that once caused hurt gave way to stories that healed. Instead of being cast as awkward, perpetual foreigners, Asian Americans began to be shown as heroes, Olympic Champions, and national leaders.

Now, amid demands for racial equality and an increase in hate crimes, the urgency to change our narrative gains even more purpose. By claiming our place at the American table, we can expand the national discussion on social justice beyond the black and white framework that has kept our country from realizing liberty and justice for all.

Yes, Asian Americans have come a long way.

And the journey has just begun. Our brand was made to promote our community's chapter in the American Story. Each time you wear our apparel, you champion the All American spirit of Asian Americans and declare that we belong, because we are All American II.
